Experiencing the Sacred

We have found the sacred in the morning light over the Pyrenees, the flowers of the mountains, gratitude for past protection, wild horses, flowers along the way, the crunch of the trail, and the beauty of the morning walk.

All “God Language” is necessarily metaphorical, or as St. Thomas often said, “Analogical”. Solid theology starts with the statement: That which we call God is ultimately ineffable. The human mind cannot grasp the infinite divine mystery, and human words will never comprehend the reality of this sacred experience. Therefore all god-talk is necessarily metaphorical.
